Company : History

International Freight Transport, Inc. is an international transport company handling the shipment of LCL, FCL and break-bulk cargoes on a worldwide basis. IFT, established in 1986, is an FMC licensed and fully bonded international freight forwarder and NVOCC, and a DOT registered domestic freight forwarder.

In the USA, we are headquartered in Fanwood, NJ, New Jersey with branch offices in California, Hawaii and Utah.

In 1989 IFT established a project division which specializes in the transport and management of break bulk and project cargoes from the USA and Europe.

In 1991 IFT began development on our logistics operation in the Former Soviet Union.

In 1992 the first office was opened in Kiev, Ukraine. This was soon followed with additional offices in Almaty, Kazakstan and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Today our FSU network includes offices throughout the FSU, including Russia, Belarus, and Lithuania.

In the Ukraine, we maintain one of the largest logistic operations with 18 offices throughout the country.

In 1995 IFT established the Hawaiian consolidation division which consolidates LCL cargo for shipment and delivery to all the Hawaiian Islands and Guam.

In 2002 IFT opened their first office in Eastern Europe with the opening of International Freight Transport SRL in Constanta, Romania.
